Setting up a personal email address: a simple guide

Written by Booster | February 13, 2026

For many people, this won’t require any change at all. But if you don’t currently have your own email address — or if you share one with someone else — this guide will help you understand your options and what to do next.

Why having your own email matters

Your email address is a key part of how we keep your account secure. It’s used to:

  • verify your identity
  • send important account updates
  • protect your personal information

Using a unique email helps ensure that only you can access your information. For more information, check out our blog.
