Three Southland dairy farms in the PLPF portfolio have had an uplift in value amid recent high milk prices with Fonterra expecting strong prices to continue.
Meanwhile an oversupply of grapes and some uncertainty about long-term demand for global wine has resulted in lower valuations of some Marlborough and Hawkes Bay vineyard/winery assets. However, the New Zealand wine brand is reported to be strong against competitors with its lighter palate profiles. Meanwhile wine tourism here continues to grow, with 27% of tourists visiting cellars.
